Membership Fees
Players are required to purchase a yearly membership from the franchise owners to cover insurance costs. Memberships are as follows:
Basic: $10
Silver: $40 (also grants 1 level to one of that member’s PCs)
Gold: $70 (also grants 6 reward points and 2 levels to one of that member’s PC)
Mandatory NPC Time
All Waypoint players are required to do a 4 hour NPC shift. We have blocks quite literally at all hours to choose from. You can sign up during the pre-registration process or at the door of the event.
Site and Sleeping
Waypoint: Abyss is played on the KGE larp site located at 10418 Plank Road, Milan, MI 48160. It is an immersive, rustic site used exclusively for larp with several fenced households, structures, firepits, and 40 acres on which to play. There is no electricity, gas, or running water at this site; please keep this in mind when planning for an event.
These grounds do not have camp cabins. If you’d like to sleep in character on the field of play, there are a few structures that may be used and period-appropriate tents are welcome and encouraged. There are out of play areas for non-period tent camping areas and port-a-johns and dumpsters on site. Non-period tents covered with canvas to hide modern fabric may be approved on a case-by-case basis for use on the field of play. If you aren’t interested in on-site camping, there are several affordable hotels in the area as well as local players who may have space for houseguests.
This site is shared with multiple larps. We ask that you respect the site and its structures. Designated KGE storage areas are off limits.
Carpooling
We encourage players to carpool when possible. There is limited parking, so please make sure you're parked completely in a spot! Please feel free to post on the event if you are able to provide players with a ride to and from the event or if you are a player in need.
