March Event Details
Countess Llynora Lavode cordially invites the Heroes of the Battle for Daggett to a festival being held in their honor!
Following the astounding victory seen in Narrdmyr last November, relations between the two kingdoms are stronger than ever. Novashan has seen an influx of travelers coming back from the south, and the kingdom is prospering.
Countess Llynora wishes to express her gratitude to the heroes who came to our neighbor’s aid when they sounded the call and to share some of the winter’s good fortune. The Vernal Equinox festival to be held in Yardsmuth shall be dedicated to their honor with food and drink to those who wish it at the Blue Jay Inn. All are welcome to share in the weekend celebration of victory, but a special call goes out to the displaced Festival of Ilveresh: please accept our congratulations and thanks for your courageous efforts.
Hello everyone!
Welcome to the 2021 season! We hope that you will join us for our first event of the year this week: March 19th - 21st.
Since this is the first event of the year, I would like to remind you that you must fill out the 2021 Annual Registration Form (ARF) and pay your membership dues in addition to the event fee before attending the event.
Since Covid-19 is still persistent in Michigan all events will be digital until further notice, with the head of Safety and the Board of Directors reassessing in April.
Here are some details about this upcoming event:
When is the event?
- The event will start Friday, March 19th at 5 pm, and will end on Sunday, March 21st at 5 pm.
How do I get in?
- Here is a link to the Discord server: https://discord.gg/3KvGY56
- You can purchase tickets for this event at www.kanar.club/payment. Tickets for this event are our standard event fee of $20.00
- Please note that paying before Friday will help speed up the check-in process! If you pay for the event during the event you will be let in as staff becomes available. If you're doing so at 3am, it will take some time for you to gain access to the event since the staff is probably asleep. Please rest assured that we are all working diligently on this, and we will get to you as quickly as we can.
- Due to COVID-19, we are not taking any cash or check payments at this time.
What do I need to do before I can play?
- There's a few things that you should check off your checklist before you can start playing this weekend:
- Make sure you have filed an ARF this year
- Make sure you have paid for this event
- Make sure that you have no outstanding balance owed to KGE for past events
- Make sure you have paid your yearly membership dues
- If you have questions about any of these or are unsure if you have an outstanding balance please email the Treasurer at: treasurer@kanar.club
How do I get XP?
- Like all of our digital events, we will have ways to earn additional XP available to all players! You can earn XP by doing the following:
- Spring Cupcakes: Share your spring themed cupcake recipes (don’t forget the decorations!) - 6xp
- Pet in Garb: post a picture of your pet wearing your favorite kit - 6xp
- Spring Poem: Write a spring themed poem in character - 6xp
- Sea Shanty: Record a video of yourself singing a sea shanty of your choosing - 12xp

- There will be a room in the Discord channel for you to post your submissions
- This XP will cap at 12 extra XP (for a total of 30 XP for the whole event).

Can I do modules?
- Yes! GM staff will be on and off all weekend and will be working with those that require modules.
Can I teach/learn skills?
- Absolutely! Just make sure that you are role-playing the lessons appropriately.
Will there be combat?
- Yes, you may run into an encounter that requires combat! Combat rules will be posted in the Discord server.
Once I'm online, how can I ask staff out of game questions?
- There is an area on Discord you can post your OOG questions.
- You can also tag anyone who has the role of GUARD (they are our Admin staff), and they will happily help you, or direct you to the appropriate staff member!
How late can I purchase a ticket to be considered an "attendee" for sign out purposes?
- You can buy tickets to the event until 4:50 pm on Sunday. So long as you buy a ticket before then and get checked in to the server, you will be considered an attendee and can do a sign-out! I
Because digital events are new and ever-changing, we've put together a short video tour of what Kanar's digital event set up looks like. I would highly recommend you give this a watch especially if it's your first time joining us:
If you have any further questions about the upcoming event you can email any of our staff: www.kanar.club/staff
Thank you all for being a part of this community; please stay safe and healthy!
