5.15 - Tag Announcement

Hello players,

This is an announcement regarding the tag turn in progress from your Econ 1st. Tag turn in has been going well. For the month of May we are requesting all players with LAST names D,E,F and G to turn in their tags by the end of this festival. Please don’t worry if you aren’t attending this month, just turn them in at the next festival you do attend excluding role play events. For those players with LAST names A,B and C who missed April’s tag turn in, please turn them in at the next festival you attend. It is helpful for the players to take photos of their tags before they turn them in. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Econ at econ@kanar.club

5.11 - Field Wide Module Update

Good day everyone,

I want to provide some information for the field-wide flip module happening at our next event. I know that many people are excited, and I think we can offer an extraordinary moment of storytelling with some pre-planning and self-care on everyone's part.

The module will take place on Saturday, May 21st, from 1:00 pm to roughly 4:00 pm. It will consist of two different attack groups attempting to retake the Ruins of Fenrest from the Mer forces. Attack Group One will be clearing the swamp, hills, and structures leading up to the city while Attack Group Two will be breaching the door and clearing out the ruins.

This module will really be field-wide! To simulate the taking of a large area we will be utilizing as much of the property as the players would like to use. So make sure to wear your best pair of shoes/boots. We are all going to get our steps in that day.

The GM Staff will be awarding NPC time for your half of the module. The whole point of a flip module is that half of the field gets to play their characters and then we flip and they NPC for the other half. This allows up to have combat encounters at a scale not normally seen.

What you can do to help!

Start hydrating three days before the event starts. It is likely going to be hot and the last thing any of us want is for someone to become dehydrated.
Pack sunscreen and an extra pair of socks. Big battles can really take it out of you. Making sure to be protected from the sun can help keep you safe throughout the day.
If you are a Site Caretaker please make sure your area is picked up by Saturday at noon so we can provide a safe area of play.
Hype this up to other characters to get everyone excited. We have not done a field flip module in over five years. They take a lot of planning and are not something we can realistically do at every event. Get the hype train going!

FAQ

I don't want to NPC for the other half of the module. Can my character go on both encounters?
- Answer - No they can not. It is expected that if you are participating in the module you NPC for the other half of the encounter.

I don't want my character involved in this situation. Do I have to do this?
- Answer - You are not forced to do this. You are welcome to NPC for the entire module if you feel that your character would not participate in this encounter. If you do not want to partake in the mod and also do not want to NPC then an area of the field will be used as "Illveresh" and you can RP as your character there.

I have an item/special ability/ thing that will drastically affect this module and I want to use it. Who do I talk to?
- Answer - please email the Game Master Team at gm@kanar.club before the event so we can try and incorporate your special thing.

I'm a Non-Com can I still take part in this?
- Answer - 100%. There will be rolls for Non-Coms both as players and as NPCs.

5.10 - Field Wide Module Annoucement

Hear ye hear ye!

Calling all heroes and healers of Ilveresh! King Daffyd has requested that all Ilveresh heroes fight to take back the town of Fenrest from the Merfolk. The battle of Fenrest will take place on May 21st starting at the 12th bell. All help is requested. If you have any questions on how you can help, please seek out the knights or nobles.

(The module will be a field wide swap module. All players are welcome! If you are worried about not wanting to fight or non combatant status, no worries! A healers tent will be available for all non-combatants to have a rp module. The module will take place as groups are split in two, each side PCing and NPCing for each other. 5.6 - A Message from the CBM 1st

Hello everyone!

Just your CBM crew here to let you know, with the exception to a few clarifications, your character sheet updates for the April live event and the April RP Only Event, have been completed! As always, if you find something of concern or issue or you didn't get an update, please feel free to reach out to us at cbm@kanar.club and I am sure we can work together to get it taken care of! That being said, I personally wanted to thank each and every member that attended the Role Play Only Event this past weekend! I was very proud to see how well everyone maintained themselves, as well as checking in on each other to make sure everyone was doing ok and had a place to stay for the night! Good show everyone! It was a great time and I can't wait for the next one! I felt like the RP was less rushed and we were all able to get involved in things that would have been a bit of a task to try to do at a normal event. The Rat Pucking game was hilarious and I think it should become a regular occurrence at the RP Only Events! I especially loved the music and singing from all those who chose to participate! We seem to have more musically talented members than we knew about. Lets see more of that! The ambiance created from the many various camps with the torchlights, cook fires and window lighting was some of the best I have seen on field since I have been a member! Maybe that can be a friendly contest for the coming RP events! I look forward to the coming events, as well as the 10 day event in June, which is just around for corner, for sure! All of that aside, everyone be safe and we will see you all at the next event!

4.26 - Tag Ruling

At the April 2022 kanar event a field wide ruling was made to disallow the use of undergarment tags as it would conflict with KGE nudity policy.
