Fresh Start Official Wording

This policy is about a fresh start for all of our membership. The pandemic years were difficult on everyone for a multitude of reasons. We want to empower our community with a fresh start to go into effect as of 05.29.2024. With a sunset date of 2025-01-01.

1.0) All debt prior to 2024 from membership dues and event fees is forgiven.
- 1.1) Sign outs from unpaid events will not be granted.
2.0) Member complaints will be archived.
- 2.1) Disciplinary actions will be kept on record.
- 2.2) New complaints from prior to 2024 will not be investigated with the exception of pending lawsuits.
3.0) When this directive goes into effect, suspended individuals may choose to regain membership. Members choosing this option will be classified as a probationary member for 3 years.

Explanation of the Fresh Start

This policy is about a fresh start for all of our membership. The pandemic years were difficult on everyone for a multitude of reasons. We want to empower our community with a fresh start effective of 5-29-2024.

1.0 - Explanation: This does not forgive any other depts or owed money to KGE, only event fees and memberships dues prior to 2024. This amount totals to an estimated $600 from the past 10+ years, affecting over 100 people, as we are able to determine from available records.

1.1 - Explanation: No sign-outs will be granted for these forgiven events.

2.0 - Explanation: The 1000+ emails from the past 10+ years investigated or not will be manually archived into a single document for easy reference and long term memory of the club. This does not affect records for staff departments, only the BOD records.

2.1 - Explanation: This does not erase a previous judgment of someone having been found guilty of a complaint or not, nor does it block the ability to reference archived complaints.

2.2 - Explanation: Focusing on active complaints will allow the BOD to better serve the membership moving forward with consistency. In the case of if there is an active lawsuit this Fresh Start does not have any effect.

3.0 - Explanation: If a suspended member wishes to utilize this Fresh Start please email the bod@kanar.club to inform us of the decision. Those who take advantage of this will not be eligible for veteran status for the next 3 years. Those who do not utilize this Fresh Start will continue serving their current suspension as already stated.

Those who do not utilize the Fresh Start by the sunset date of 2025-01-01 will also continue serving their current suspension as already stated.
