Hello everyone!
Just want to give a reminder about changing lores to their updated versions. While you have till the September event to complete this, we ask that we all start the processes sooner. When you complete your sign out, we ask that in the CBM comments you tell us which direction you would like to go with your lores.
There are three ways you can do it:
First: the CBM staff can relocate your lores into the condensed category it goes into. We will give xp back to for any removed or duplicate lores. (Please don’t hesitate to inquire on which one it might fall under as well)
Second: you can get your XP refunded if you don’t want the lore anymore or if your lore is a multiple in a condensed category. (Example culture lore common elven and culture lore forest elven both fall under culture lore Ashan. You can move one to culture lore Ashan and refund the second one’s Xp.
Third: you can change your lores to another lore in the same category. (Example, if you already have a culture lore specialization, you can choose a different culture lore specialization you don’t already have.)
As always if you have any questions at all on this please send an email to CBM@kanar.club. I will get to them as soon as possible.

Hello everyone,
Your friendly Econ staff has the following announcement for you. As of the August Event, the between-event crafting allowance for SMALL items is set to up to four (4) crafted items or two (2) mastercrafted items.
Small items include, but are not limited to: jewelry, books, candles, pouches, belts, satchels, drinking vessels (such as mugs or goblets), writing implements, maps, small tools, trinkets, charms, and other similarly sized handheld items.
The final determination of whether an item qualifies as a small item rests with Econ/ GM Staff. Thank you for your understanding

Hello Kanarbies!
The GM staff and KGE will be hosting a townhall on field after end of game Sunday.
5:15pm to 7:30pm
It is a chance for us to talk to the club members face to face.
Official agenda to be posted by Friday of the event.
Note: GM will be giving EXP for attendance.
GM Staff
Hello everyone,
Your weeklong and RPOE event sign outs are completed. As always if you have any issues or inquiries please don’t hesitate to reach out to the CBM staff.
Look forward to see you all this weekend. Melissa Jones CBM 1st
Hello Everyone,
As promised I have completed the Lore list. The new lore list has condensed several lores down, fixed missed spelling, multiples of the same lore, and placed lores back into correct categories. As we start to go through this list for each player, we are going to look at the lores you have and see if they fit into a section on the new list. Please go through this list, look at what's available to you.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NqLdZziyX8-GGRahrthr3NYupEDJgw0LHnoce8LR98c/edit?usp=sharing
After the July event, we ask that every player put in the CBM notes if they want the XP back or if they are looking for a replacement lore. We will be only offering replacement lore through this process and once it is complete you will not be able to change lores around, the lore will be removed and XP granted back. This process is expected to be done by the September event, so please let us know what you would like.
When it comes to the subclass lores, we have not removed specific lore tied to subclasses. However, if you have a general lore requirement and your lore has been removed, it is on you the player to replace the general lore to keep the subclass. The subclass will go into an inactive status until you meet the requirements for it again. So please let us know what you wish to change the lore to so you can keep the requirement.
Finally, If you wish to create new lores, you may still do so. But it will no longer be done through the sign out process. All new lores created should be emailed to the GM@kanar.club for approval. Once the GM approves the lore, they will send the information over to the CBM team and we will make it available to learn.
As always, we are always here to answer any questions you may have. Please don't hesitate to reach out to the CBM team.
Thank you
Melissa Jones CBM 1st
Hey all! Newly minted Even Year Player Rep Scott here! Looking forward to giving back to this wonderful community! During the recent BOD meeting we released a Mid-year Survey that is meant to obtain feedback from our members regarding this year’s altered schedule of events and feelings on event start and end times. It should take you less than five minutes to complete. Your answers will be used for planning next year’s schedule!
Here is a link to the survey! https://forms.gle/CsSq4a53RHFyb1wv9
And a reminder to all members; feel free to email me at evenyearrep@kanar.club with any suggestions, concerns or ideas! I’d love to hear from you and help with anything I can

From the office of the BLD team,
The field is back to being open to members. I will be out both Saturday and Sunday working on clean up and other issues. The bld staff could use extra hands and help. No specific skill set needed. There is many different things to do. I will.get to field approx by 10am.both days.
Also the BOD has approved monies to be spent to get some damaged tree limbs dealt with. I will be calling a tree person to come.out prior to the event.
Sincerely, Rob Hubbard BLD 1
I want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone in our community. One of my favorite things to see is members getting together outside of game whether that's grabbing a meal, attending events, or just spending time together. It speaks to the friendships that have grown through our club.
That said, I'd like to remind everyone that when we're out together in garb, especially around the Milan area, we're also representing our club. The way we interact with others reflects on all of us.
We've worked on building a reputation of being a welcoming, respectful, and positive part of the community and I'd love to see us continue that. Please be mindful of how you treat restaurant staff, business owners, other patrons, and anyone else you encounter. A positive interaction can leave someone curious about who we are and maybe even encourage them to come check us out. Likewise, a negative interaction can have the opposite effect.
Thank you all for helping make our community something we're proud to be a part of, both on and off the field.
Erich Okonowski President, KGE
Hello KGE members. After the storms last night the field has been left with severe damage. As a safety precaution the board of directors has decided to shut down the field temporarily until BLD 1 Rob Hubbard can make a final determination. Until further notice, only authorized staff are to be on the field. Thank you for your cooperation
Hello Fellow KGE Members,
This morning an email was sent to our veteran members containing a link to vote in our Board of Directors election. The subject line of the email should be: "Vote Now: Kanar Gaming Enterprise Inc. - 2026 Board of Directiors Election." (I am aware that I misspelled "Directors" in the original email, and I apologize for the error.)
If you did not receive this email and believe you should have, please first check your spam or junk folder. If you still cannot locate it please contact me at president@kanar.club and I will be happy to look into the issue.
Voting will remain open until 11:59 PM on Friday, July 10. An email announcing the election results should be sent shortly thereafter.
Thank you all for your continued support of the club.
Erich Okonowski President, KGE
Hello everyone,
I have some mixed news. All lores are being condensed and managed. There will be a new list of lores posted for all players to have access to. If a player would like to create a new lore for the game, it will have to be submitted to the GM and added with their approval. I know with this change there is going to be A LOT of questions. The staff and myself will be able to help you all navigate your questions.
Some questions you may have: What happens if my culture lore is removed from the master list? This will be handled in one of three ways: players may submit a request to reallocate those points into a different approved lore, take the xp refund for the skill being removed, or it may get placed into a matching lore. Example: you have culture lore Ancient fairy, it may get moved to culture lore Fae.
What happens if we don’t want the new standard lore? This is the chance for you to change the lore into a different approved lore. We will discuss the change in lore with you and change your sheet.
Why are we condensing lores? The CBM staff is currently working on a new process that will help improve character sign outs. With this new process, we need to make the collection of lores more manageable for all GSOM staff.
What if I already have that condensed lore? Then you get the options to either refund the points or reallocate them to a new approved lore.
Will the change in lores affect subclasses? No, no lores will be taken away for the ties of subclasses. Those lore were picked specifically for those subclasses and have been approved from the GSOM already.
If you have any more questions please feel free to reach out to the CBM staff.
Thank you ,
CBM 1 - Melissa Jones
Hello Players Welcome to the 1026 Kanar year
The playmaster staff is going to be playtesting a new procedure of marking weapon materials this year.
As many of you may know, there are new materials dropping this year. With these new materials, items still need to be marked appropriately as the new material. The old way of marking materials was to use two different color bands of tape to identify the material (as seen per the chart in the rulebook).
The new playtest is going to implement one of two methods to mark weapons. A player may use tape on their weapon, with the material name written on the tape in letters that are easy to read; or players may take a white ribbon, write the material name in easy to read letters, and tie it to their weapon.
This playtest is so that players may have a diversity of options when marking weapons, while making room for the variety of new materials being dropped. If a weapon’s material currently exists in the rulebook, players may continue marking weapons the old way, while this playtest is ongoing, but weapon materials that don't have a specific color sequence still need to be marked.
As always, tag checks may occur at random. A player found not marking their weapons’ material appropriately will be found as not being in compliance with tag policy and their tags are subject to forfeit.

The 2026 Feast Team would like to thank everyone who came and participated in the event. It truly was a night to remember!
Our community came out in force and showcased that KANAR has some of the best LARP roleplay around. From the players to the NPCs, everyone helped make the night feel alive.
To gather information that will help us improve future Feast events, we have created a short survey. The survey responses will be completely anonymous unless club members choose to include their name at the end so they can be contacted for further discussion if the Feast Team needs more information.
This data will help us make better‑informed choices next year so we can deliver the best experience possible.
Please access the survey below: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScTbssioDS4DS75aLjt_jp4GAVrh-IEPj64-pm6bb5uJJR1eA/viewform?usp=header
This survey will close on 2/23/26, so don't delay!
With thanks, The 2026 Feast Team
Right now, only 16% of the membership has weighed in on the post-season survey 😭 We are making big decisions this year regarding NPC requirements for everyone and to keep or change the existing ticket tiers. We don't want to make these decisions in a vacuum.
We want your honest feedback, and we know privacy matters. 🛡️ We’ve just published a deep dive into the backend system that explains exactly how your survey responses are anonymized and protected.

We want to be transparent about how the yearly membership surveys are handled, who sees it, and the technical steps we take to ensure your feedback is used effectively without compromising your privacy.
When you submit a Google Form, the data is automatically imported into a master table in Airtable. However, staff members never see this master table. Instead, the system uses a Summary Tab for internal review.
In a standard spreadsheet, all of your answers are linked across a single row. To prevent staff from "tracing" your identity across multiple answers, we use an automated Summary Tab.
Independent Sorting: The system takes every column (question) and sorts it alphabetically, independent of the others.
Data Isolation: By breaking the row, individual answers stand on their own. Even if a staff member recognizes a specific comment or if you included identifiable details in one answer, they cannot look across the table to see what was said in response to other questions.
Please note all of the responses seen in the below screenshots are for example purposes only and not actual responses.
[Snapshot of how the overall summary view]
[Rollup field that alphabetizes responses and adds ⚪ to each new response]
[Example Formula used to parse the input into categories]
[Additional example of the formulas used to parse the input into formatted summaries]
We don't show the entire survey to every staff member. Instead, we use filtered views so departments only see what is relevant to their work. Examples being:
Media Team: Sees website feedback and technical suggestions.
Game Master: Sees story preferences and NPC feedback, along with oversight for sub-departments like Econ and Mystic Quill.
Staff Reviews: Each department only sees reviews pertaining to their specific team or sub-department.
This ensures that the people responsible for making changes are the ones reading the relevant feedback.
[Department specific views with only their relevant questions]
Occasionally, a staff member may want to reach out to a respondent to clarify a suggestion or address a specific concern. We use a "double-blind" automation for this:
The staff member submits the response they want to follow up on into an internal form.
The system searches the master database and identifies the associated email.
An automated email is sent to you along the lines of: "[Staff Department] wants to contact you regarding your response: [Your Quote]. If you are open to a conversation, you can reach them at [Staff Email]."
The staff member never sees your email address. You have total control over whether or not you choose to reply. If you choose not to respond, the staff member has no way of knowing who you are.
Accountability in this system is a two-way street.
Protecting Respondents: This system is designed to ensure you can provide honest, critical feedback about the organization and its staff without fear of retaliation. If you ever feel a staff position has been misused, please follow the conflict resolution steps outlined in our Step-by-Step Guide.
Protecting Staff: While we protect your privacy, this system is not a shield for illegal or unwarranted abuse. Feedback should be constructive or critical, but it must remain within the bounds of community conduct. Harassment, threats, or telling a staff member to self-harm will not be tolerated.
Your feedback directly determines our policy shifts, staff reviews, and project priorities for the upcoming year. For example, when discussing policy changes regarding NPC requirements this year, we were able to reference feedback from a previous survey.
By using this system, we ensure the data gets to the people who can actually implement your suggestions while maintaining a professional boundary between staff and respondents.
If you have any suggestions or feedback please contact the BOD with your thoughts at bod@kanar.club.
Hi Kanar,
I’m reaching out to invite more members to share their thoughts through our club survey. The questions focus on BLD, GM, and PM as we start thinking ahead to 2026, and your feedback will really help shape where we go next as a club.
As a Board, we read every survey thoughtfully and discuss how to act on the feedback. We also use these insights in our staff reviews to make sure we’re aligning our efforts with what members value most. Speaking personally, I see the surveys as signposts — they show me where to focus and how I can better serve the club.
The survey will close just before Valentine’s Day, so if you haven’t had a chance yet, I’d love for you to take a few minutes to complete it. Your perspective truly does make a difference.
Thank you for helping us keep the club moving forward together.
Warmly,
John Wells

⏰ Survey Reminder ⏰
This is a reminder to please complete the 2025 Post-Season Membership Survey if you have not already. The survey is open to all members including veteran players, newer players, and those who did not return this season.
Your feedback directly helps guide staff reviews, policy updates, and future planning for the game. There are questions this year about required NPC time, ticket tiers, and general staff and BOD feedback. The feedback from this survey will directly impact policy for next year.

To my loyal Nobility and subjects who attend the feast at Bannor Nogoth,
You have my sincere thanks for enduring the hard moons that have fallen upon us as we fight to maintain my right to rule our lands without influence from the Kingdom of Narrdmyr.
Letters have come to me in quantity requesting clarification on my wishes for such a Feast. As I have stated since the start of the conflict with our brothers and sisters to the south, in times of conflict such as these, I call upon my Nobles to serve as my voice and my eyes as I set my sights on securing the stability of our Kingdom.
To speak plainly, I give all those who have bestowed the honor of a noble title the right to treat with the Tommarians as they best see fit. Though promises of aid, both militarily and financially, will have to come from their own supplies, as my troops and coffers stand to aid my people more directly. While the freedom to treat as you see fit falls on your actions, and while I give you my promise that no repercussions will fall from my hand for treaties signed, I do not have the time or desire to intervene with disputes between my Nobles for such treaties. I now, as I always have, entrust the wise counsel of my Nobles.
I have also been informed by Senator Augustus that he and his companions will have economic contracts available for signing. In such hard times as we have experienced, I would be a fool to deny my people the opportunity to earn much-needed coin. Any citizen of Novishan may sign these contracts, though I caution that you will seek no aid from the crown if you are unable to meet the conditions.
Your King,
Daffyd Alekzandar Belthshazzar

Hello my fellow nobles.
I will be conducting court. If you are going to present any awards, I ask that you reach out to me so that we know who all are going to present. We are asking that you follow the following rules:
Each noble will have a set amount of time to present depending on number of nobles presenting. We ask that instead of reading verbatim the award that you are presenting that you summarize the award.
We appreciate all the hard work that you all have done and can’t wait to see you at the event. Thank you!
Castien
Greetings, Bards, Storytellers, and the Muses Who Whisper in Your Ears,
Prepare yourselves, for the Bardic Tournament of this year’s Winter Feast draws near, and with it comes a celebration of artistry that shall echo far beyond these halls.
As I proclaimed in my earlier correspondence, this year’s grand contest shall take the form of a poetry competition. Know this: poetry is not merely a pastime of the Tommarian peoples — it is the lifeblood of our culture, the vessel through which our triumphs, tragedies, and legends are carried across generations. It is with great pride that I intend to bring your verses back to the Republic, that your words may ripple across the sea and stir hearts you have never met.
Each poem shall consist of twelve lines; twelve chances to seize the spirit, to conjure wonder, to weave a spell of language that lingers long after the final syllable fades. Beyond that single rule, the canvas is yours to command.
Raise your voices. Summon your muses. Let the Feast be illuminated not only by torchlight, but by the brilliance of your craft.
Yours in the Eternal Arts,
Senator Romulus Augustus
Tommarian Wine Tasting – Winter Feast 1026
Greetings, Esteemed Guests,
As a Senator closely linked to the agricultural development of the Protectorate of Brisbane, I thought it would be enjoyable for us to share some outstanding vintages from the Republic. Wine is deeply important to our culture, and with new wineries being planted throughout the eastern coast of Brisbane, this tasting will offer a glimpse of what we may expect in the coming years as the vines mature.
As seating will be limited, all guests will receive one wine‑tasting raffle ticket upon arrival at the party. At the raffle table, there will be a special bucket designated for this experience. Wine tasting will take place from 3:00–4:00, so be sure to get your ticket in early. Naturally, all participants must be over 21 cycles of age to partake.
I look forward to sharing these vintages with you and celebrating the season together.
Your Honored Host,
Senator Romulus Augustus
Please see below for the sign-up for all of the competitions at feast. We ask that all submissions are made by February 6th at noon.

Greetings to the citizens of Novashan!
The 1026 Feast will be taking place on February 7 in Bannor Nogoth, hosted by the Protectorate of Brisbane. I would like to thank Senator Augustus and his peers for their generous efforts. I will be continuing the tradition of our annual feast raffle with prizes donated by our gracious King. This year, the Protectorate of Brisbane has also generously donated some items to be raffled off. I hope everyone is looking forward to our winter gathering. I would like to share with you some of the wonderful items that will be in the raffle at our upcoming feast.
Same as last year, tickets will cost 1 silver per ticket or 1 gold for 12 tickets. We are allowing you to reserve tickets prior to the event to save you time once you arrive at feast. Once you get to the festivities, you may stop by the raffle table, pay for your reserved tickets, and then select your raffle choices. Reserving tickets should save time as they will be pre-portioned for you and have your name already printed on each ticket. The raffle ticket reservation requests will be accepted until Friday, February 6th at noon. You will also be able to purchase more tickets at the raffle tickets if you feel you would like more!
A reminder, please make sure to bring coin with you to the raffle table. Bank staff will be working during our festivities but they will not be staffing the raffle table.
I would again like to extend a thank you to Senator Augustus and the Protectorate of Brisbane for hosting our annual winter celebration this season. I look forward to see you at the upcoming festivities.

Hello all,
The Feast Team hopes you are having a fantastic winter! We have a few announcements with some logistical information for the 2026 Kanar Feast happening on February 7th.
Due to all the activities we have planned, we have chosen to give players an extra hour of in‑game time. As such, the Feast event will now start at 1:00 pm, not the previously posted 2:00 pm. Players will be allowed to enter the site at 11:30 am for decoration setup, but will be asked to exit the main hall around 12:45 pm so that we can process all tickets and hand out items as people re‑enter as their characters. Some of the Feast Team will be doing a walkthrough of the site at 11:00 am with venue staff, so please do not enter the building before 11:30 unless directed by the Feast Team.
In past years, Feast has always had a somewhat in‑game/out‑of‑game vibe. This year, we are trying something a little different. The second floor of Cobblestone Farms will be 100% in‑character. If members or guests need to make a call, decompress, or have an out‑of‑game conversation, they are welcome to go to the first floor of the building or outside. If your character is at a location where travel to the Feast is too far away, they may use an Archmage to portal to Bannor Nogoth and back to their starting location. This service is provided free of charge by the Protectorate of Brisbane. If your character is dead or imprisoned, please reach out to Marcus so accommodations can be made.
While the event is in‑character and in continuity, mechanics will be off. This means no combat, spells, toxin mechanics, in‑game crafting, and etc. may take place. This is a time to relax, make deals, give a toast, and plan for the 2026 season.
We have hired a professional photographer for four hours of the Feast to capture events, group photos, and individual portraits. All pictures will be available to members after the event, free of charge. As such, we ask that you do not take photos or have your cellphones out on the second floor while the Feast is happening. During setup and teardown is fine.
Some rules for the event that are part of the venue rental agreement:
Hard liquor of any kind is prohibited on the premises of Cobblestone Farms and the surrounding Buhr Park. This includes the parking lot. If members or guests are discovered consuming or possessing hard liquor, Cobblestone Farms will terminate the event. If members are found with or consuming hard liquor by the Feast Team, you will be removed from the event and reported to the Board of Directors for further disciplinary steps.
Beer, wine, hard cider, and champagne are allowed to be brought in by members and guests. White Claw and other seltzers made without distilled spirits are also allowed. If you are unsure whether a seltzer contains distilled spirits, we highly recommend purchasing White Claw, as it is specifically listed as permitted in the rental contract.
Cobblestone Farms now has a barrier‑free lifting device, which serves as a passenger‑only elevator to assist guests who are unable to use the stairs. Nothing can be transported on this elevator other than two people at a time. Please only use this elevator if needed; nothing may accompany the people using it except strollers. There is now a zero‑tolerance policy for confetti, helium balloons, and glitter. The ban on glitter includes body glitter.
No animals are allowed, except for service animals.
The site is a non‑smoking/non‑vaping facility. Smoking and vaping are permitted only in designated outdoor areas and must be at least 20 feet from the building and outbuildings.
More information will be released this week about competitions and tournaments, so keep your eyes peeled. We look forward to having a memorable 2026 Feast and hope you’re getting excited!

Hi everyone,
We wanted to clarify how many actions that players have access over the winter. Everybody has access to up to 3 Actions in your sign outs and 20 weeks of crafting. Thanks for a great year, we really enjoyed the story we were able to make together as a community!
See you at Feast!

Hello, everyone!
As much as I hate to make this announcement, November will be my final event as GM1 and I’ll be stepping down at the end of this season. I had hoped to be GM1 for longer, but right now I just can’t reliably attend events. Saying goodbye to this role is bittersweet; over the past six seasons I’ve served as either GM1 or GM2, and it’s absolutely wild to me that anyone who joined since the Covid quarantine has only attended events that I’ve been a key part of shaping and running. It’s time to pass the torch and make room for the next generation’s creative vision.
I struggle to find words to completely describe my time on GM staff, the highs and lows, and how it’s felt to see the growth in this club over the last few years. Overall it’s become more welcoming, more friendly, and there’s a stronger sense of responsibility for the community and the land we play on than I think I’ve ever seen in my 15 years here. Watching that spirit and camaraderie take root has been truly incredible, and everyone one of you has my most sincere thanks for making it happen.
Although I’m retiring from numbered GM staff, I’m not disappearing entirely. I’m still going to run the Narrdmyran War and the current Fae plot, and I’ll still be tinkering with ways to improve the on‑field experience and between-event systems behind the scenes. I’ll also be available for questions from the new GM staff and whatever assistance I can give them; I want to make this transition as seamless as possible so the next GM’s era has a solid foundation to build off of and we keep the momentum going.
Including nearly a decade as Safety 1 or 2, it’s been many, many years of volunteering. This will be the first time in six years that I’ll get to play my character in a truly meaningful way, and I’m looking forward to being able to see what the game is like from the other side in modern times. Thank you all for making this such a meaningful and unforgettable chapter of my life.
-Kiri

🌳 Reminder: Adopt-A-Road Cleanup This Tomorrow! 🚮
Join us Saturday, November 8th at 11 AM for our next Adopt-A-Road cleanup with the City of Milan! We’ll be meeting to help keep our stretch of road clean and beautiful. 🌊
Cleanup will go until about 1 PM, and the City will be providing food afterward for volunteers! 🍕
In case of rain, our backup date is Sunday, November 9th. This community service is also why you see the Kanar sign along the road a reminder of the effort we put into caring for our shared spaces.
See you there, and thank you to everyone who helps keep our community strong! ✨
Hello, everyone!
There seems to be a lot of confusion over the Ritual system and how it works, and it's causing some significant issues for our game. This system will be turned off for the November event and will be reintroduced once it can be reviewed by staff/committee. Attached is the current system for players to review, please keep in mind that several restrictions are likely to be introduced over the winter break.

Hello Everyone,
It is with mixed emotions of pride and gratitude that I share that fellow club member Alex Stachowski has decided to step down from his role as CBM 2nd to explore other departments within our club.
On behalf of the club and as the CBM 1st, I would like to extend to Alex my utmost appreciation and civic pride for his dedication and hard work during his time as CBM 2nd and to wish him nothing but the best as he explores other departments within the club!
Please take a moment to share your gratitude to Alex as well! He will be missed!
That being said, please welcome fellow club member Johnathon Fidler as the new CBM 3rd! I'm looking forward to working with him in the coming months as I'm sure he is excited to be here as well.
I hope everyone else is excited as I am for the upcoming and much anticipated All Hallows Event! I am hoping for a terrifying time!
With that being said your CBM team has nothing else new to report at this time.

Hello everyone!
Just so you are aware at the October Event the Adventure Academy will be doing trick or treating. This is where Dash will be taking the adventurers around to various areas of the land so that they may learn all about our area. If you would like, it would be amazing to see some people passing out various goodies or such to our people. If you have some fun nuggets of information about your land, please share it as well! Thank you!

Hello everyone,
At the October 2025 Board meeting we voted to make appointed positions rotate on a schedule, with one K1 position open each year and one KGE support staff position open each year. As such, there is currently an open K1 position and an open KGE position. The Character Book Master 1st and Media 1st respectively. Current position holders may reapply.
The positions are open for application and will be closed January 1st to be discussed and then voted upon at the Board of Directors meeting on Sunday January 11th.
Applications for this position should be sent to the Secretary or Board of Directors email addresses, secretary@kanar.club and bod@kanar.club respectively. Applications will then be reviewed and the President will schedule interviews with the applicants. Approved applicants will then be motioned for discussion and approval at the Board of Directors meeting.
Applicants who do not submit both a cover letter and applicable resume will not be considered for the positions.
If you have any questions regarding what makes a member eligible to run for appointment of a K1 position or a KGE position review the following:
Please review K1G-001 K1 SOP 25.07 for the Character Book Master 1st position, with special regards to sections 3.2, 6.0 and 6.1 and 7.0
Please review 1.3-KGE-SPS 25.04 for the Media 1st position, look at section 5.0 for the media position and section 7.0 for the general requirements of a KGE Position.
~Christian Colarossi KGE Secretary.

A photographer will be on field during the next Kanar Event, if you aren't familiar with the Photo & Video policy you can read about it on our website at:
https://kanar.club/blog-posts/photography-and-videography-policy
In order to further encourage NPC volunteerism the BOD has decided to limit the amount of C tier tickets that will be sold for each event. These will be sold on a first-come, first serve basis. If you find that C tier tickets are sold out, you are encouraged to buy an A or B tier ticket instead. We are hoping that this change leads to an increase in NPC time, and encourages more players to volunteer during events.
We can't wait to see you at the next event,
-The BOD
At the September festival, we will be having Castien’s Chili Cookoff. This is a great event for those that both like to cook and consume chili! For those that wish to participate, please be aware of the rules.
Try to keep the heat of the chili on the lower end so that everyone can enjoy.
Cooking must be done the majority on field. A few things may be done elsewhere but try to do most of it in Ilveresh.
As usual, there will be the judging portion and the public portion. Make a good amount for people to have some.
To enter is 6 silver. For those that wish to taste food, 3 silver. Castien will need judges.
List of ingredients must accompany your dish so those that have allergies can be aware.
There will be prizes for the winner!
Chili must be cooked and ready and the 6th bell on Saturday in Silverleaf. Thank you everyone!
Just your CBM crew here to let you know, with the exception to a few clarifications, your character sheet updates for the 2025 August Event have been completed!
Thank you all who took the time to input your learned skills using the requested format explained in the sign-out form as well as on the Facebook post!
You all certainly made our job just a bit easier this time AND you were all awarded an additional 10xp for doing so. Keep it up! It's easy XP!

Hello everyone,
The GSOM is playtesting an old rule that was off the books. The new playtest is a travel time associated with visiting the parking lot to drop off/pick up coin or tags as doing so requires a trip to Crossroads, 30 minutes there and 30 minutes back, or 15 minutes there and 15 minutes back with a horse. This time can be spent in the parking lot, but it is highly encouraged that you spend the time NPCing. This doesn’t affect privy runs or going to the parking lot for any other reason, only when tags/coin are brought onto or off the field. This play test will start in September through the end of the year, then be reviewed by the PM staff and the GSOM over winter.
Thanks, The GSOM

Hello members,
It has been brought to our attention that previous chitin armor tags have been printed incorrectly, causing much confusion between staff and players. Several tags have been printed with “wears as leather protects as plate” which has given the impression that Chitin had the following attributes:
After reviewing the way Chitin is worded in the Econ documents and in the craft packet, it shows that Chitin is defined as “craftable into plate and requires a leather phys rep.” This means that the Chitin attributes are as follows:
We will be switching to the clarified version of the creation process. However, we will accept submissions for the armor to be crafted by the 3 unit cost until the October event. This was a mistake in understanding by our staff and we are trying our best to correct it in the most fair way possible. We will be correcting the wording in all printings and it will be labeled as plate armor from this point forward. Please bring any tag labeled incorrectly to the Econ Staff so we can correct the wording and please adjust your roleplay accordingly. We apologize for the inconveniences.
Thank you for your time, Economics Staff and GM Staff
