09.15 - September hype post

There is a restless energy that has become quite an invitation: become someone slightly different than you were yesterday.

The old paths are still there, worn smooth by habit, but the changing season paints new doorways onto familiar walls. Every breeze seems to carry a message you cannot quite decipher, and every sunrise feels like a map whose edges have yet to be explored. The world has not changed overnight, yet somehow it hums with possibility.

This is the season of stepping forward before certainty arrives. Of saying hello first. Of taking the longer road home. Of signing up, showing up, wandering off the marked trail just enough to discover something unexpected. The monsters in the portal may be strange, but so are the treasures. The people you have never spoken to may become companions in adventures you cannot yet imagine or enemies you have never met.

There is magic in motion. Not the magic of guarantees, but the magic of willingness. The willingness to be curious, to be surprised, to be a beginner again.

So when the air crackles with that wild, electric feeling, listen closely. It is not calling you to stay where you are. It is asking you to leap. The season has opened the gate.

All you have to do is walk through.

Field Wide Effects for the September Event only

All Characters have a touch of wild energy buzzing through them.

All characters with (planer lore - wild affinity) feel especially wild and chaotic, and for the event gain +5 damage to all damaging wild spells except for boons or augments, and if a wild spell cast by that character has a duration in minutes it receives +5 minutes to that duration.

09.08 - Cooking Competition

At the September event, we will be having a cooking competition. This competition will take place on Saturday at 5:00. The theme of the competition is “Autumn Afternoon Tea.” You will not only have to have a dish but also a drink to accompany it.

There are two ways to win:

A panel of judges will vote on a best dish.
The community will also vote for their favorite dish.

If you wish to compete, please reach out to Erich O. If you wish to judge, also feel free to reach out to me. There will be prizes.

Here are some rules:

Cook a majority of the food on field.
Be ready by 5 PM Saturday at Silverleaf.
Have 7 portions for the judges for the official judge section.
Have lots of extras portions for the community judging.
No fee to enter, 5 silver to taste food. Judges get it free.
Bring plates/cups/etc. for serving.

09.06 - Cha'Grimm Knighting

To the most loyal citizenry of Novashan:

The shadow of war has passed, and the light of Chivalry burns every brighter. Having proven their potential in both deed and word over these past few years, Armiger Cha'Grimm has been found worthy of elevation.

The Vigil of Cha'Grimm

Date: September 18th 9pm-1am

Join the penitent squire as he sits vigil and learns his final lessons from all whom wish to impart their wisdom, advice and insight to him before his elevation. The vigil will take place in Count Xandrick's cabin, located across the trail of The Scarab.

The Knighting of Cha'Grimm

Date: September 19th at 2pm

The elevation ceremony will be graciously hosted by House Silverleaf at 2pm. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
