March Announcements (3.28)

03.28 - March Teaser

Frigid endless nights give way to an eruption of sunlight and foliage as spring comes like a lion to greet the weary. Winter projects and plans have come to fruition, rest and recuperation are over, and life emerges from its hiding places to forage in new growth.

Soldiers, rested over the winter, begin to assemble on order of their commanders. Messages of constant battles to the Southwest have troops on edge as they wait for their departure orders and bid goodbye to their families. To the North, a wall of purple fog has blocked access at the Northern Divide. Most that have gone through have not returned, and those that have, wished they hadn’t.

Deep in The Great Swamp, as Ilveresh begins to prepare for its seasonal festivals, more than spring is emerging…

03.28 - Welcome to 2025 from the GM Staff!

Hello lovely players, and welcome to the 2025 Kanar season!

The winter flew by. We had a large influx of new GM staff members and non-staff club members volunteering to help us build things that will improve everyone's game experience. I tip my hat to you all, but there are so many that I'll save the appreciation list for a different post!

With many projects still in the works, we're pleased to present the Town Information Pages and a clickable grid map of Novashan!

The Town Info Pages are the first steps the Worldbook Team has taken to building reference files for both players and staff to use. We spent the winter creating feature categories to support the upcoming Location Governing system we have on deck, assigning and balancing resources to support the upcoming Gathering system (go Crafting Team!), and generally improving our ability to track the impact our characters make on the world around them. Now that the framework is complete, we're asking that the community helps us fill out as much of our 40 years of history as we can. We have a handy form for sending us suggestions linked below!

Nearly everything in the Town Info Pages is subject to changes and updates. Please remember that in 40 years of gameplay our stories have been rewritten and overwritten multiple times; in creating a single collective canon to use from now on, we may not be able to include all of our history as written or played. We will do our utmost best to stay true to our historic tales and legends, and we ask for your patience and understanding as we create these Pages.

We're really excited for you to see what we've got in store this season, and we'll see you out there shortly!
